What is financial reports & analysis?

Financial reporting turns your books into statements you can use. A profit and loss statement shows what you earned and spent, a balance sheet shows what you own and owe, and a cash flow summary shows where the money went.

Reports are only useful if you read them. Each month Jennifer prepares your profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow picture, and points out what changed and why.

Over time the reports show trends: which months are slow, where costs are creeping up, and whether the business can afford the next hire or purchase.

Financial Reports & Analysis questions

Are reports included with monthly bookkeeping?

Yes. Monthly bookkeeping clients receive a profit and loss statement and balance sheet every month.

What's the difference between profit and cash flow?

Profit is income minus expenses for a period. Cash flow is the money that actually moved in and out of your accounts. A profitable business can still run short of cash if customers pay slowly.

Can monthly reports help me get a loan?

Lenders usually ask for a recent profit and loss statement and balance sheet. Accurate monthly books mean those reports are ready when you need them.
